The Serratus Anterior & Shoulder Pain

Up to 25% of the general population will suffer from shoulder pain during their lifetime.

One muscle that is often forgotten about when it comes to the shoulder and the development of shoulder pain is the serratus anterior.

Check out the video below on how weakness of the serratus anterior alters the normal biomechanics of the shoulder and increases the risk of injury, specifically to the supraspinatus, the most commonly injured rotator cuff muscle.

Make sure to watch it to the end as Dr. Jake will cover three movements you can do to strengthen your serratus anterior and help decrease your chance of developing shoulder pain.
