Limits of Stability

Over 16 million Americans suffer with low back pain.

Lower back pain changes; how we move, how we walk, how we navigate the world, and makes every little part of life more difficult.

One way low back pain affects our ability to move is we typically hold our self in a more rigid and guarded/protected posture. Short term this is okay but long-term this can lead to changes in our balance, stability, and lead to more pain.

One of the many objective measurements we use at Optimize Chiropractic is looking at how well we are able to move our body front to back and side to side.

The test we use to measure this is the limits of stability test. Check out this 3 minute video below where Dr. Jake discusses the Limits of Stability Test and how we use it to create a personalized plan of care that results in moving and feeling better with the objective results to back it up.
